A historic market town on the banks of the River Frome in Dorset, Wareham has plenty of pretty buildings and riverside relaxation spots. The quayside is particularly lovely with the Old Granary pub, benches for watching the ducks go by and even a traditional market.

It's an ideal place for a snack stop on a bike ride in the area and is also the start of the Purbeck Cycle Ride.

Check out the beautiful St.Mary's Priory Church from the Quay or perhaps The Priory for a drink in their garden next to the River. You can also take river trip from here to Poole or just out into Poole Harbour.
