A beautiful, sprawling mixed woodland with a proud industrial heritage, Consall Nature Park is a lovely place for a walk. The River Churnet and Caldon Canal wind through its heart and trails splay off to explore the semi-natural woodland.

The majority of the area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and the park’s primary focus is on conservation, rather than recreation. However, the public are welcome to come and enjoy the superb walking, fishing and picnic facilities.

The park’s secluded location and its diverse habitats make it a haven for a number of mammals and plethora of butterfly species, including the green hairstreak and the small pearl bordered fritillary.
