The harbor mill is located directly on the Oder dike. Once upon a time, an entire woodworking complex with a sawmill stood here. The ruins behind the harbor mill only give a hint of its original appearance. The timber was floated in by ships on the Oder River for further processing. Only later was the building used as a mill.

On the Oder dike near Kienitz, it stands as if stuck in time: the harbor mill. A red brick giant with a view of the water and soul in its timbers. In the past, wood was transported downstream via the Oder for further processing. Today, cyclists come upstream – looking for coffee, cake, and a place to breathe.

The old walls don't speak aloud. But if you look closely, you can still feel the sawmill, the grain, the toil. And in between, sculptures in the grass, a café with homemade pride, a bit of art, a bit of neighborhood.

The harbor mill is not a destination for those in a hurry. It is a gift for those who can dismount for a moment, sit down, and be silent. And then continue on – with one more thought in their luggage.
