Hidden vlei is what the name suggests: hidden. And therefore not as crowded as Dead Vlei.
The starting point is the first parking lot; you can drive a “normal” car up to this point.

The path is only recommended in the morning or evening as it offers no shade. Drinks and hats are a must. Appropriate footwear too.
Poles point the way, making it easy to find.

Important: there is a toilet at the parking lot - definitely better than at Dead Vlei! Not fully functional but clean and looked after

ATTENTION: The park opens at sunrise and closes at sunset. However, you have to plan the 60km long way back to Sessriem!
Or you can stay overnight at the campsites or lodges around the park.

Good hike to do after visiting the dead vlei at sunrise. Take some water and a hat. It’s accessible by 2-wheel drive
