The village of Laggan, in the far west of the Cairngorms National Park, holds many attractions for lovers of the outdoors. The hiking in the region is superb, with the Monadhliath Munros of Geal Charn and Carn Dearg to the north and the Cairngorms in the east. Another popular hike is to the Pictish hillfort Dun da Lamh above the Spey Dam reservoir.
The Rumblie Guest House is a good bet for accomodation, while the Laggan Coffee Bothy is a great place for a brew.
