    The historic town hall was built in 1619. In 1790 it was stabilized by a massive eaves facade and stabilized with a Waldach. As part of the municipal reorganization in 1970, the town hall in Wiedenbrück lost its independent administration.               The historic town hall of Rheda-Wiedenbrück was built in 1619 and is located on the market square near the Catholic parish church of St. Aegidius in the district of Wiedenbrück. A previous building on the same site already existed at the beginning of the 16th century.

              Today the building serves as a registry office and houses the citizens' office. Originally built as a purely half-timbered building, the side of the town hall facing the square was redesigned in 1790 as a nine-axis, two-story facade made of ashlar plaster. In the middle of the market facade is the entrance portal, above which the Prince-Bishopric of Osnabrück coat of arms was placed, which dates back to the time of the Cologne Elector Clemens August.

              During the redesign in the 18th century, changes were also made to the east and north walls. In addition, a former arcade was integrated into the building. A envy head on the side of the town hall facing the church shows the width of the former arcade from the outside.

              On the upper floor of the town hall, the former council chamber was completely reconstructed in 1981. The reason for this was the discovery of two richly carved Renaissance columns.
