"The Birker Ley is a 377 meter high elevation in Rhineland-Palatinate on the border between Mudersbach-Niederschelderhütte and Siegen-Niederschelden. From this mountain you can see almost all of Siegen, it is now accessible via the SchieferErzEisen-Weg.
About 80 m below is a slag heap made from waste products from the Charlottenhütte, which was in operation from 1856 to 1968/69.
Because of the forest, there is only limited visibility from the Birker Ley. The view towards Siegen and Oberschelden is better from the slag heap of the Charlottenhütte."
