The Munot is a circular fortress in the center of the Swiss city Schaffhausen on the Emmersberg and is considered the landmark of the city. It was built in the 16th century from the ashlar and quarry stones of Malm, which is located here and in the surroundings; Shortly after the completion, there were the first doubts as to whether the plant corresponds to the state of military technology. It served only once for defense: in 1799 during the withdrawal of the French troops from the Austrians.
