Between the two ponds of Gondrexange, this bridge crosses the canal of the Saar coal mines to allow passage from one bank to the other. Climbing its steps takes a little height to admire the magnificent landscape of the lakes with the Vosges in the background.

Great view from the bike and pedestrian bridge over the Canal de la Marne au Rhin. At this point he meets the Saar coal channel. This point forms the highest point of the canal with the boat lift Saint-Louis / Arzviller (direction Strasbourg), the large lock of Réchicourt (direction Nancy) and the lock 1 (direction Stockweiher).

My landlady was already complaining over breakfast about the engineer who planned the part. I can understand her now.
It's just too narrow to the railing (10-15 centimeters would have been enough).
The rail could have been continued over the ledge, then the second threading would have been unnecessary.
It's also annoying to change the wheel's guide from left to right.
In conclusion: You don't have to swim to get to the other side.
