Built in 1768, the castle was extended a century later, then used as a boarding school around the 1950s.

The castle was bought in 2004 by the Boulard family who restored it. Since then, it is possible to rent it for seminars or weddings.

A 22-hectare park surrounds two guest rooms and is home to wallabies and some unusual animals.

The Château des Boulard, known as the Château de Spoir, was built in 1768 by the Seigneurie de Bérou: “We have very few historical elements. The castle was extended in the 19th century by the addition of two wings which frame the original building. It hosted a public boarding school for children from 1953.

Remaining abandoned for 30 years, it was in 2004 that the Boulard family decided to buy this ruined place in order to renovate it and be able to keep it in the heritage of the region. Since then, to continue to restore the castle, various activities, weddings, seminars, etc. are organized to find the funds necessary for its restoration.
