The Protestant parish church is here in Hülscheid. Since 1983 architectural monument of the city of Schalksmühle.

"Together with the churches in the districts of Schalksmühle and Heedfeld, which are also included in the list of monuments, the parish church is a testimony to the sacred architecture of the past centuries and therefore has significant documentary and symbolic value for the local area. The two large bells of the Hülscheid church with the year 1482 and 1487 go back to the Catholic period of the Hülscheid community. The small third bell was cast in the second half of the 12th century.

Text from the monument description:

The Hülscheid Evangelical Parish Church is a hall church with a retracted square choir and a square tower with a retracted pointed helmet in front of the west gable. Plastered quarry stone masonry and slate roof, three-axis arched window, under the middle one on the south side an inscribed stone with a chronogram 1784: “AUXILIANTE DEO ECCLESIA HAECCE EX FUNDO RENOVATA ET PERFECTA / EST SUB CURA TH. H. PÖPINGHAUS HÜLSCHE DENDIUM / REFORMATORIUM FIDELIS AB ARCHITECTIS CORN. HEND ET CASP. WILH. IAC. ULENBERG FRATRIBUS". On the south side of the tower two baroque gravestones."
