Thanks to the notable shape of sugarloaf and geographers’ tendency toward the literal, there are innumerable hills and mountains that are named ‘Sugarloaf’. You can find this one on the border of Ireland’s Counties Tipperary and Waterford. In the Knockmealdown Mountains, Sugarloaf Hill reaches 2,175 feet (663 m) and is straightforward to summit. It lies on the southern edge of Golden Vale, a vast area of undulating pastureland.
