In the past, the Rodebach was a lifeline for the Selfkant. Together with the tributaries Krümmelbach and Saeffeler Bach, 14 watermills were operated on it between Stahe and Isenbruch. After the Congress of Vienna, long stretches of the creek became the border between Germany and the Netherlands. Today, after the water mills have stopped grinding, the region strives with the 700 ha nature and landscape park Rodebach / Roode Beek on both sides of the border as a destination for gentle tourism.

A beaver has settled on the Rodebach and his works of art (dams, gnawed tree trunks) can now be admired in several places between Süstersell - Wehr - Tüddern.

하이킹
At the moment, you have to take into account a training that is not indicated, the part to Wehr is closed, the Red brook is forced to meander again (super), here you can just follow the bike path. Greetings Martin
