The Alexander House (also Summer House Alexander) is a listed[1] building on the banks of Lake Groß Glienicke in the Groß Glienicke district of Potsdam. It was commissioned in 1927 by the Jewish doctor and then President of the Berlin Medical Association, Dr. Alfred Alexander built it as a weekend and summer home for the family.
In 2013, the Alexander-Haus e.V. association was founded to save the house, which also included members of the Alexander family, among others. the great-grandson of Alfred Alexander Thomas Harding. In 2014, the Alexander House was added to the state of Brandenburg's list of monuments and the property was handed over to the association.

I find it remarkable that the story is told through this house: the purchase and use by the music publisher Maisel during the Nazi era and the residents during the GDR era. In this way, people reach out to each other across social systems and religions.
The film and book by Thomas Harding illustrate this idea again. Definitely worth seeing! (The Alexanderhaus is always there on Open Monument Day.)
