Nowhere in Britain is comparable to the ancient landscapes of Assynt in the far north of the Scottish Highlands. Hikes to Stac Pollaidh take you to one of the region’s main attractions. The mini mountain boasts magnificent scrambling interest and views that will have you scraping your jaw off the Torridonian sandstone at your feet. The road at its base and its modest height mean that all of this is wonderfully accessible.
