The outer appearance of the parish church of St. John the Baptist dates from 1672. It has a nave with a retracted choir and is surrounded by a churchyard wall. In 1771 an extensive redesign took place and in 1978 it was renovated for the last time. The church is a hall building with a retracted choir and roof turret with onion dome and sundial. The church patron St. John the Baptist can be seen on the inside altarpiece. The Hohestadter patron Saint Valentin is attached to the outside portal.
