"The station in Bad Neuenahr, built entirely of local rubble stone, is a building whose foundation stone was laid on November 4, 1879, in order to open the Ahr Valley line from Remagen to Ahrweiler one year later. Prior to this, the municipality of Neuenahr had to commit to paying 15,000 marks for this purpose in 1882. This amount was taken out as a loan (cf. Frick, p. LIV).

However, it should be noted that the original station building was significantly altered over the years through additions and renovations. The western wing in the Neo-Gothic style, which today appears disharmonious in conjunction with the expanded building sections, is the actual foundation structure of the station. The architect of this section was the Cologne-based Peter Joseph Seché (1850-1901). He divided the front of the building, which faced the street, into a projecting portal and two window axes on the left and right. Additionally, the The gable of the two-story station building with its extended roof still forms the front. However, the gable facing the railway line is smaller than the street side.

At the end of the 1920s, the station building was significantly expanded. A large extension was added to the east, the so-called Bahnhofsstuben Bad Neuenahr (restaurant), which stands out with its six large windows and a terrace.
A smaller extension was also added to the west, and the original entrance was relocated from the old building, located to the west, to the central extension. From this point on, visitors are presented with a facade divided into ten axes on the railway side. The centrally located, neo-Gothic station hall is particularly striking.

The oldest building complex bears the admonition "Always cheerful, God helps on," while the extension bears the words "Cheerful courage, healthy blood."

In addition to the three-part station building, there is a large half-timbered shed to the east and a modern signal box next to the railway tracks. A public restroom, also built from local quarry stone, was located west of the station building until 2005. After the building was demolished in 2005, the new building can now be found 30 meters west of the station building.

Cultural Monument
The property "Station, quarry stone building, Neo-Renaissance, 1878-81, extension 1920s, half-timbered loading hall, Hauptstraße 58/58a" is a registered cultural monument (Monument Register for the Ahrweiler District 2018, p. 15f).
