Stork safari
Once again, this time on July 30th, 2020 the Enz-Aue was flooded and around 100 storks could be observed. From the middle of July such stork troops can be discovered looking for food together. If the first storks have settled in Roßwag, for example, through the watering of the meadows, the following effect could set in: The storks flying overhead see their conspecifics and think: "There's free beer there" and also settle down.
Every evening you can watch storks fly in to Vaihingen and Roßwag and settle on the roofs of larger buildings, such as the town church, on construction cranes or high street lamps. They still care for their plumage extensively in order to then sleep at a sheltered height for the night.
