The Georg-Vetter-Weg begins in Bad König directly at the Georg-Vetter-Museum. From there it leads between gardens and meadows out of the city, along the Mühlbach.

A really great way. As Michelle has already written, this leads past gardens and orchards. You can also see some great restored half-timbered houses.
Georg Vetter was born on November 4, 1891 in König im Odenwald as the son of a poor shoemaker and forest worker. After school he worked in the König tobacco and cigar industry, but had to give up the job for health reasons. The Erbach-Schönberg family and royal personalities then financed the young man, who was talented in drawing, to attend a technical school for three years. Vetter then worked as a freelance artist - always on the edge of subsistence level. On his long hikes, which on some days took him up to 100 km, mostly in an easterly direction to the Spessart, he recorded many motifs of the Odenwald and Spessart in his 82 sketchbooks, his “Büchelchen”. Out and about in nature with a sketchpad in hand - that's how the painter was known in Bad König.
