The best route is from Heimsheim to Merklingen. This makes the rubble track near Heimsheim just bearable.

After completing the small ramp behind Heimsheim with a 20% gradient, a longer descent awaits on a much better surface with a fantastic view of the WdS and Merklingen – it's worth it!
