The Dormition Cathedral (Hungarian: Nagyboldogasszony székesegyház), also called Kaposvár Cathedral, is located in the historic center of Kaposvár and is a religious building affiliated with the Catholic Church. It serves as the seat of the Kaposvár diocese. Construction began in 1885 and was completed in 1886.
The first church was built in the years 1737-1744 in baroque style. The new neo-Romanesque cathedral was completed in 1886 after a year of work.
