You could literally turn around every meter to enjoy the magnificent panorama. Prerequisite: the view is good. Huge cairns point the way when visibility is poor. The path is rocky and sometimes quite steep. You should plan about 2 to 3 hours for the ascent from the valley.

If you catch a nice day (which is very unlikely) you will of course be in the crowd here, but the views you will enjoy will reward you.
The path is elaborately laid out of stone blocks and was just renovated during our visit, so you had to run a little slalom around the big bags.

A very nice way. Non-slip shoes for the way, sometimes he goes over larger stones and when going down the stones can be quite slippery. Warm clothes for the summit is recommended, even if you sweat when going up, it is damn cold and it can rain.

IAscending the Ben on Mid Summers Eve to watch the Sun rise c 04.15 is an experience, not to be missed.
Be sure to have addequate equipment and warm clothing and hot drinks with you as it can be very cold, even in the middle if June with Snow still lying on the top. As the Sun rises, it cast a shadow of the Ben, onto Loch Linnie below.
Set out around midnight to give adequate time for ascent. ENJOY.

Amazing walk up to the highest mountain in the UK. Path is clear until the top where the snow is but you then just follow the cains. Be prepared for all types of weather.

The Mountain Path is the easiest path up to the summit of Ben Nevis, however, with the loose ground, boots are a must. Wearing trainers or other inappropriate shoes may increase the risk of injury.

The path is relatively easy to follow in good weather but care needs to be taken in poor weather. Check the forecast at the summit before you go!

Was up hill from the start, don’t under estimate the willpower needed 🤣 but the right kit makes it enjoyable. Was jealous of everyone with poles as even with the right boots I was slipping over rocks. Overall a great achievement, stop and take in the views regularly and chat to fellow hikers it makes it fun
