I wasn't quite sure whether I could unreservedly recommend the Gosenberge as a hiking highlight. Except for a few indefinable remains of the foundation and a trigonometric point, nothing indicates that you have reached the 71 m high "summit" of the Gosenberge. The paths are not signposted, nor are there any views worth mentioning. There is no reference to the "Schillerwarte" excursion restaurant, which opened in 1905, and the observation tower built in 1906, which provided a panoramic view of the area.
Next to the Heimatstube Gosen on Eichwalder Straße you will find a model of the Schillerwarte and a corresponding information board.
