In memory of the former chapel mentioned in Hižakovec back in 1684, which was demolished after 1808, and as a thank you for the priestly and religious vocations from the parish of Gornja Stubica, the pastor and parishioners decided to renew history and build a new chapel of St. Crisis. The plans for the chapel were made by Dr. Tomislav Premerl and built by Vladimir Breber from Donja Stubica. The size of the chapel is 10 x 10 m, with a slender tower in which there are three bells, and in the ground plan it has the shape of an old Croatian sacral building with three conches.
