    The Dommel Valley is without a doubt a pearl in the Kempen, ideal for a varied and relaxing walk. You will find alder forests, hay meadows, meadows, small fish ponds, reed fields and much more. The higher parts mainly consist of fields lined with wood edges and some pine forests. This wide variety of landscape types provides many different animal and plant species.

      Dommelvallei is a nature reserve located at the confluence of the Dommel and the Bolisserbeek. The area is located between Eksel, Wijchmaal, Kleine-Brogel and Peer and has an area of 450 hectares. It is managed by Natuurpunt and is part of the Bosland forest area.
      The current appearance of the stream valley is determined by a wide variety of biotopes. Several boardwalks, new hiking trails and two new bridges allow you to fully enjoy nature. The "Dommeldal Route" also takes you past the beautiful burial mounds of Molhem.
