The seven stations, so-called “footfalls”, of the Way of the Cross between Overath and Marialinden were made from Lindlar greywacke after a major epidemic (1740) in Overath.

The path along the stations leads steeply through the forest but unfortunately also past the road in the direction of Marialinden. Still worth seeing. Many information boards from Bergisches Streifzug No. 16 (about 8.5 km long).

There is very detailed information about life in the Overath area on the various information boards. Unfortunately, some of the pictures in the footfalls are no longer clearly visible due to weathering in the sandstone.
