The Frisia mill and the dike mill are also called twin mills because their identical construction is unique. The Frisia mill is a four-story gallery Dutch mill that is under monument protection. There was already a mill in Addingaste in 1700, but it was damaged by fire and was then rebuilt at its current location.

The Norder Windmühlen Förderverein has written the rebuilding of the Frisia mill on its wings. Although the Frisia mill lacks a grinder, the gallery Dutchman now has functioning and rotating blades again.

The Frisia mill serves as an exhibition space for old tools and machines from the bakery trade. All historical devices are exhibited there, from old bread slicing machines and baking molds to kneading machines and even a speculoos machine.

This exhibition is also a success of the Norder Windmühlen Förderverein, because it made this exhibition possible by collecting the exhibits, which mainly come from bakeries in the Norder area, and thus "saved" them from the modernization of the craft. In the Frisia mill, the togetherness of mill, grain and bread is visualized.

Nowadays, they are rarely used for their original purpose, although here we find one of the relatively few still functioning ones, but often only as technical and historical monuments to a long tradition of craftsmanship: the heavy millstones inside were moved solely by the power of the wind as driving energy and, for example, grain was ground into flour (so-called grain mills) or oil was pressed from fruits (e.g. olives) (so-called oil mills). These old windmills are therefore the best proof that people were clever enough to harness the power of the wind a whole series of centuries ago - long before the discovery of electricity and the inventions that followed.
