The Reukenspad, located between agricultural land, is a new piece of nature reserve in full growth.
A bike path goes through the nature reserve. If you want to explore the area on foot, you can do so via a walking loop or via the Reukenspad. You can start your exploration at different locations.
History: De Reukens is an old agricultural area. Until the 18th century there were small bushes on this location. The word 'Reukens' in the old Flemish language is equivalent to 'Rooien' of trees.
Much attention was paid to planting Small Landscape Elements. Rows of pollard willows and tall fruit trees provide shelter for the little owl. There is also a bee hotel on the old orchard - picnic bench.

The Reukenspad crosses the area from north to south: a short and traffic-safe walking and cycling route between Aartselaar, Koekoek-Lindenbos and Boom. The area has also been made accessible to walkers in other places. Part of the grounds has been planted with forest.
