The Royal Tomb was rediscovered in 1997, on the site where the school had stood in the caravan camp, and was further investigated. Only a quarter of the hill was preserved, the rest was lost due to road construction.

The burial mound has been (partially) restored since July 2003, part of the perimeter of the mound is indicated by posts.

Unfortunately, the grave is wedged between the highway and an industrial estate. Moreover, we had to walk 2 km on a busy road to get there from the Bomenpark restaurant.

The site is accessible via the iron footbridge under the aqueduct.
From the watchtower you can also see the royal grave on the other side of the A50.
