Beautiful hike around the BHS pond, with well paved footpaths. From the Weiherhammer town hall, the path goes along the pond with a number of deciduous trees, where you can observe various waterfowl. On the way along the Brandnergraben there are signs that indicate the historical origin of the ditch, at the end there is an old water weir that you can visit. The path continues to Mantel, you cross the Naab bridge and continue to the right along the Naab floodplains. After a while you will see the Moritzkirche on the left, which invites you to visit. A little later you reach the TSG sports area with gym and restaurant. Since there is also a beer garden, you can also enjoy your snacks outdoors in summer. If you continue along the path, you can already see the BHS factory premises on the right-hand side. Now it goes quickly along the connecting road Weiherhammer-Trippach, past the former "employee settlement" in the direction of the indoor swimming pool and the town hall. All in one, a wonderful tour when the weather is nice.

The Weiherhammer bird sanctuary is a nature reserve in Weiherhammer in the Upper Palatinate district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in Bavaria.

The nature reserve is located east of the town center of Weiherhammer.

It is part of the Northern Upper Palatinate Forest Nature Park, the Upper Palatinate Hill Country Landscape Conservation Area in the western district of Neustadt a.d.Waldnaab and the fauna-flora-habitat area of Heidenaab, Creussenaue and Weihergebiet northwest of Eschenbach.
