    Behind the water tower is a small stage and a park with deck chairs. Two free parking spaces (4 hours with parking disc) are within easy reach.

    Attention: Be sure to use a Danish parking disc !! The German parking disc does not count !!

          Esbjerg Water Tower was built in 1897 and has become a symbol of the city. The Nassau house in Nuremberg served as a model. The water tower has a permanent exhibition about Esbjerg Water Tower and European water towers, as well as other temporary exhibitions.

              From the water tower you can enjoy great views and in good weather you can see as far as Fanø and Ribe.
              The water tower was built in 1896-1897 on a Bronze Age burial mound on the cliff top just above the newly built harbour. It is located at the highest point in town towards the sea and quickly became known as Esbjerg's landmark.

                Interesting buildings, a water tower, with battlements like a castle.
                The observation tower can be visited / climbed for an admission fee. Unfortunately it was shot when we were there. Pity!
