The Biesdorf Castle and Park ensemble with its villa and the initially only four-hectare park was built in 1867/1868 on behalf of the Baron von Rüxleben. In addition to castles such as Schönhausen, Glienicke or Friedrichsfelde - to name just a few - it is a gem in Berlin's monument landscape, in which there are only about 25 castles, mansions and palaces.

Werner Siemens acquired the plant as early as 1887. After his death in 1919, the castle was divided into apartments and in 1920 even a police station was set up. In 1927, the city of Berlin acquired the property with the associated extensive estates and made it accessible to the public.

After 1933, the local group of the NSDAP and the "Office for People's Welfare" move in. An air-raid shelter is built and in April 1945 the beautiful building is completely destroyed - presumably by arson by the Nazis; The roof and ceilings collapse, parts of the facade collapse. As early as 1946/47, the Red Army had the castle temporarily repaired and an emergency roof built over the ground floor.

From 1954, the Biesdorf Castle is a popular leisure facility, 1959 village club and later district culture house. The small park stage opened in 1956. At the end of the 1970s, the complex was finally placed under monument protection and from 1984 the restoration of the park began with the preservation of monuments.
