People and nature are in balance on this beautiful estate!
Grasslands, fields, hedgerows and avenues, together with monumental farm buildings, form Landgoed de Hoevens, a rare Kempen bocage landscape. The stream Oude Leij ripples through the greenery. Simplicity, tranquility, space and respect for nature are central.
De Hoevens is a centuries-old private estate that is managed sustainably by the Van der Lande-Vogels family. The connection between man and nature is important there. There is room for camping, spending the night and meeting - but also for organic farming, nature development and education.
Landgoed de Hoevens has had a special nature cemetery since 2014, where a loved one can be buried in a self-chosen spot in nature.
Organic arable farming is practiced at Landgoed de Hoevens. For example, the ancient Sint Jansrogge is being renovated. Here the local baker makes all kinds of estate delicacies, such as crackers and gingerbread. The beekeeper gets his own honey from the hives. And with Sint Jansrogge, the beer of De Pimpelmeesch from Chaam is brewed according to traditional methods.
