Worms Gauge House
The Rhine water level has been measured here since 1819. The so-called "gauge house" has stood on the Rhine since the late 1920s. It is flanked on both sides by two other small buildings, which were erected in 1855 during the construction of the pontoon bridge, making them about 70 years older. To the left is the toll house, which once served as the payment office for the bridge toll. To the right of the gauge house is the dam keeper's house.
