The Madonna degli Scouts which was not visible because it was buried by the snow is a monument located on the summit of Monte Amiata, in the territory of the Macchia Faggeta Society - Municipality of Abbadia San Salvatore (SI); it was erected on July 9, 1961, on the initiative of Grosseto scouting. The statue was placed on the summit at the end of a pilgrimage that lasted ten days, during which the Madonna stopped off in numerous towns in the Maremma.
