하이킹
Albin Schöbler, architect and drawing teacher, moved to Ilmenau in 1897, where he worked at the technical center. In 1904 he was elected chairman of the Thüringerwlad-Verein, Ilmenau branch. Through his 23 years of work, many a hut, viewpoint or resting place endured. This memorial was prepared before the war, but was forgotten and disappeared in the turmoil of the post-war period. In 1995 the memorial stone was found again, in 2011 the square was restored and inaugurated in 2012.
