After construction, the tower was fitted with three parabolic reflectors that bundle the light. The tower was renovated in 1901 and the optics were replaced in 1933. The lighthouse was restored in 1965. Since 2013, the lighting installation has been replaced by LED lighting.

Hellevoetsluis Lighthouse is a round, white, brick lighthouse with two floors and a height of 18.1 meters. The tower was designed by Jan Valk and built in 1822 by K. van Golverdingen. The tower is located at the harbor entrance of Hellevoetsluis and is located on the Haringvliet.
