In 1935 the CASALA factory building to the right of the boiler house was completed. For the inauguration
the employees gave their boss, Carl Sasse, the company symbol in stone: a chair on a globe. At that time, the company Voß & Sasse used the brand name CASALA above a chair on a globe, because they mainly made their living from exporting the chairs all over the world. This monument has been a popular meeting place ever since.

The monument commemorates the Casala factory in Lauenau, founded in 1917, much of which has been preserved. Fortunately, the complex has found a variety of other uses. The company name is a combination of the founder's name and the town: CARL SAsse LAuenau.
