This astounding summit lies on Scotland’s Isle of Skye in the Trotternish Peninsula and provides fantastic views over the sea to mainland Scotland, along the Trotternish and across the island.

    The Storr is a fantastic, rocky hill on the Isle of Skye. While it's most famous for the rocky pinnacle below its summit – The Old Man of Storr – the hill itself makes for a terrific hike. You can reach the summit via a variety of steep, rocky trails that lead up from nearby car parks, and quickly gain outstanding views across the sea to the mainland.

    The summit stands at 2,359 feet (719 m) and has a sheer, eastern face and a gentler western slope.

              This is such a lovely one to climb up to. Very easy going on gravel paths and grassy slopes. If you you don't want any bogginess, simply return the same way instead of going for the whole loop.

                Amazing views from here. We did a circular walk which climbed up a nearby waterfall then up the hill to the trig point.

                  You should definitely do the rounds like this. We walked it the other way around and descended the waterfall. That was quite tricky at times.
