Although the Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve is quite narrow along the coast, it is fairly easy to access from the waterfront. Inside there is a small kiosk/cafe. You feel quite far away from Umhlanga.

At the moment (August 2023) the route is not fully open. You will not get to the last 2 viewpoints now. The Forest Cafe is nice on the route. You will come here automatically. With a pram / wheelchair you can get the first bit, after that you can't go any further! The wooden decking boards then change into a sand path with steps.
