The former bakery was used as a synagogue from 1875 to 1938. The information board attached to the outer wall provides further information. The orange building has some interesting details like the windows, gables and the star.

The Erfeld synagogue was built in 1869 and converted into a synagogue in 1875-77.
In 1938 it was "sold out" to a neighbor and thus escaped destruction in the so-called "Reichsprogromnacht 1938".

The synagogue in Erfelden was built in 1877. The secular synagogue at Neugasse 43 is a protected architectural monument.
The Jewish community of Erfelden bought the building of a former bakery in Neugasse, which was converted into a synagogue. The synagogue was inaugurated on December 6, 1877. An area on the ground floor with a separate entrance was set up for the women. The synagogue has a square floor plan and striking pointed arched windows.
The synagogue building was sold by the Jewish community of Erfelden in 1937 and then converted into a residential building by the new owner.
