The Evangelical Church in the village of Holzhausen II in the municipality of Hille is the parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Holzhausen-Nordhemmern, which belongs to the Minden church district of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia.
According to an inscription at the entrance on the south side, the Renaissance church was built in 1560.

The Evangelical Church of Holzhausen II is clearly the center of the historic village center. You can walk and cycle around them. The church, which can be proven to have been built in 1560, with clear, no-frills external forms and rectangular windows (which at that time were only common in half-timbered churches and chapels) is considered to be one of the first Lutheran-inspired new church buildings after the Reformation in Westphalia; maybe it's even the first. The church is usually closed outside of church service times, so I have not had the good fortune to visit it from the inside.
