The Monkey Trail is pretty short. If you have no problem with steep wooden steps, you are in 15 minutes at the destination. The beach is beautiful and you have a great view of the Ao Nang Tower, a steep, overgrown stone cliff. You can buy a day ticket to the hotel pool for 250 baht. Otherwise, take enough water and provisions with you. After the return you can eat good and cheap at the beach restaurant in Ao Nang.
