Here on the Schattenberg ski jump, the opening jump of the four hill tour has been taking place every year since 1953. You can visit the ski jumping facility including a driveway up to the ski jumping tower. From there you have a great view of Oberstdorf.

The Oberstdorf Allgäu World Cup Ski Jumping Arena, with its five ski jumps at the foot of the Schattenberg, is the landmark of Oberstdorf. The opening competition of the Four Hills Tournament takes place here every year. The ski jumping facility has also hosted three Nordic World Ski Championships, the last World Championship taking place in 2021. The inclined elevator takes you to the foot of the ski jump tower and the panoramic elevator takes you to the viewing platform.
