Starting point for the Lama Forest.
Once this path with a very slight constant slope of almost 20 km, was the route of an old narrow-gauge railway that was active in the early twentieth century.
The railway was mainly used to transport the timber resulting from the logging of the Forest of the Blade.
In the Lama Forest you will find a variety of trees from beech, fir, maple, elm, ash and wild lime trees.

Cancellino was the old storage station for the trains that brought the wood from the Lama up here with a difference in height of about 4
500m in 22km. Today a beautiful white road starts from here, closed to traffic, which leads to loc. Lama. There are still two original village buildings, the only ones that were in stone at the time. The podestà's palace is the little church.
The road is also passable with gravel although an MTB is preferable.
