This pub has a strong reputation for curries and pizza but it’s history is even more intriguing. No one seems to know for sure how old it is, but it most likely dates back to the 16th century. A listed building, the Old Kings Head has a long history as a pub, originally part of a farm with 69 acres.
Judging by old photographs, the road may now be modernised and the buildings possess new licks of paint, but looking along the street out of the village from the Old King’s Head, Brockdish seems to have hardly changed in generations.
