Previously an essential stop for our cycling days out which has sadly gone down hill lately. The manager allows people to vape indoors and worst of all lets his dogs sit at your feet while you have your meal in the hope that you will give them some scraps. Most off putting and totally unacceptable. Avoid but if you have to use it then sit outside weather permitting.

We will be trying some of the other Wylam pubs as we counted four on the north side of the river on our ride today. Anyone tried the Fox & Hounds ?

Look out for the high flood marks and dates engraved on the wall of the Boathouse Pub. thats a lot of water.
