The church of San Giovanni in Ranui is part of the closed farm Ranui Hof and stands out gracefully in the meadows around the farm. The small church of Ranui in the heart of the beautiful Alpine landscape of the Dolomites is certainly one of the most photographed subjects in South Tyrol. There is no walker who is not captivated by the Baroque chapel dedicated to San Giovanni with its onion-shaped bell tower that juts out proudly to the tops of the Odle.

The small church of Ranui is characterized by a double pitched roof covered with shingles, a three-sided choir and a bell tower on the northeast corner of the building, whose copper onion dome is topped by a star.
