With the glider over the Bad Zwischenahner Meer and the Ammerland park landscape

We at the Luftsportverein Oldenburg - Bad Zwischenahn e.V. are a community of flight enthusiasts who are primarily dedicated to gliding.

Gliding almost silently through the air, always looking for the best field of updraft, we cover distances of several hundred kilometers.

If the training of gliding students is our top priority, we are also happy to take guests with us in our two-seaters.

Summer is our season, because we use the sun's rays as our "fuel". It is therefore flown from April to October.

There are quite different types of pilots. While some pilots enjoy a leisurely traffic pattern with a great view of the Zwischenahner Mehr, our cross-country pilots fly well over 800 km (Rostrup - Berlin - Rostrup) and of course without an engine.

The cable winch with its 300 PD motor usually takes you up into the air.

Or a motor-driven tow plane takes the glider pilot to the desired altitude ... usually between 600 m and 1500 m.

From 1500 m you could easily glide to Bremen without any thermal influence.
