Visible from afar, a very special structure rises proudly on a small hill between Hormersdorf and Günsdorf. It is also clearly visible from the road between the two villages and immediately catches the eye.
The war memorial on the Huthübel hill near Hormersdorf was erected in 1929 in honor of those who fell in the First World War and was solemnly inaugurated in September of the same year.
Large and solid, consisting of tall, individual blocks of natural stone arranged in a circle, the memorial has a truly monumental appearance.
